Judith and I go back to the days when she was working in hotels, like myself and we met at meetings and clicked. Even had the same checked turquoise and black coat! We travelled to Egypt together a few times, shared getting stuck in Eilat when the country was on strike, enjoyed the glory of Petra together. She was a great travel companion. Jude was also my cinema mate at Chippy where we saw many wonderful films. Always off here and there, it was hard to keep up with her but when one did you always had a good laugh. She spent a few Christmas and NY meals with Hugh and I and even came up to Carlisle hospital to sleep on the floor to keep me company while having cancer treatment. Needless to say she arrived with a big home baked cake for the nurses and staff! As many have said Jude was very special and its cruelly ironic that someone so vibrant has lost her life (so needlessly) while us others have conquered illness of one form or another. I still can't really believe she has left us and will miss her for many years to come when I do things that remind me of times shared. We all grieve together and hope that Portsmouth rectify the cycle route that they declined to spend money on as a fountain was more important apparently. How wrong they were. Mary James
